Abstract:
Results of Monte Carlo energy deposition calculations performed for possible 2nd generation LHC IR Nb3Sn quadrupoles are presented and discussed. The possibility
to reach the luminosity of 10^35 1/(cm^2sec) without quenching the quadrupoles is studied.
